Nottingham

Nottingham is a big city in Nottinghamshire and seventh biggest urban area of the Great Britain. It is located 128 miles north of London in the East Midland territory of the UK. It is located on the surface of low hills along the lower valley of the river Trent. This city is also renowned globally for its connection with legends like Robin Hood. During the Industrial transformation, this city flourished both in volume and wealth due to its lace making business, tobacco and textile industries. It gained extensive acceptance from major contributors like Boots the chemist, Raleigh bikes and Players Cigarettes. The city is also rated as sufficiency level global and Alpha city by the think-tank group Globalization and World Cities Research Network.

Education is administered by the unitary authority of the city, managed by Nottingham City Council. Their main aim is to provide high-quality knowledge, research and professional education. There are two main universities and their various campuses in the city, providing education to more than 60000 students annually. The city became famous for its historic buildings, memorials, landmarks, monuments and statues.
