Course Introduction

This is a foundation course for those involved in software testing.It follows the ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualification Board) syllabi and is accredited by BCS(British Computer Society).

The course covers definition of testing standards, planning, managing the testing life cycle. It also covers reviews and available tools. Different ways for creating and practicing tests are also described.


The following prerequisites for all the candidates are a must:

  • Basic knowledge of IT and software development.
  • For certification purposes, a study of the Foundation Level Syllabus beforehand would be an advantage.
  • Photographic evidence to identify the candidate is required by BCS prior to the exam.
  • Candidates who are differently abled may get extra time but only if they notify BCS two weeks before the examination takes place.
