The EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) is a new data privacy regulation for the European Union which aims to prevent personal data loss by improving data security for all individuals residing in EU Member States. Organisations in the UK have until 25th May 2018 to comply with the new law, or they could possibly face fines of up to 4% of annual turnover or €20 million. The Government has confirmed that the new legislation will be put in place regardless of the UK’s vote to leave the EU.

What are the EU General Data Protection Regulation courses?

There are three EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) courses: Foundation, Practitioner, and a combined Foundation and Practitioner course.

The Foundation course provides a complete introduction to the requirements of the new legislation.

The Practitioner course provides candidates with a practical guide to planning, implementing and sustaining an EU GDPR compliance programme. In addition, this allows candidates to fulfil the compulsory role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) under the EU GDPR.

The GDPR Foundation and Practitioner course provides both a complete introduction to EU GDPR, and a practical guide to planning, implementing and sustaining an EU GDPR compliance programme. Furthermore, it also allows candidates to fulfil the compulsory role of Data Protection Officer (DPO) under the EU GDPR.
